The implants are inserted either behind the breast tissue (subglandular placement) or behind the chest muscle (submuscular placement) through incisions made in the breast crease, around the areola, or in the armpit. Fat grafting, where fat is harvested from other parts of the body and injected into the breasts, is another technique used for augmentation.
  • Recovery: Recovery time varies but generally involves several weeks of healing and avoiding strenuous activities. Patients may experience swelling, bruising, and discomfort during the recovery period.

2. Breast Reduction (Reduction Mammaplasty):

  • Purpose: Breast reduction is performed to reduce the size and weight of large, pendulous breasts and alleviate symptoms such as neck pain, back pain, shoulder grooving from bra straps, and skin irritation.
  • Procedure: During breast reduction surgery, excess breast tissue, fat, and skin are removed, and the breasts are reshaped and lifted to achieve a smaller, more proportionate size. The nipples and areolas may also be repositioned to a higher, more youthful position.

3. Breast Lift (Mastopexy):

  • Procedure: The surgeon makes incisions around the areola, extending down to the breast crease and horizontally along the crease if necessary. Excess skin is removed, and the breast tissue is lifted and reshaped to improve breast contour and firmness. The nipples and areolas are repositioned to a higher, more youthful location.
